We study difficult problems at the boundary
of mathematics, machine learning, psychology (hence psi* is our name),
and organizational behavior.
Our research is guided by the following end goals:
-
Increase the total population pool capable of making great
advancements in their fields.
We think it is possible to create tooling that augments
human intuition in the exploration of complex problems and novel solutions.
-
Maximize the ROI of human labor. We lead lives of toil and struggle: maximizing returns on our labor is a moral imperative.
We think it is possible to create tooling that calculates the
expected ROI of any given action (which includes risks of failure)
and helps us make decisions that maximize our time.
-
Find valuable oppotunities for our customers to exploit. There are infinite business opportunities, we just need to find them.
We think it is possible to map the latent space of
a market and use mathematics to find unexploited positions relevant to our customers.
Expect work on predictive world models, data-intensive
infrastructure, agent-use software, and methods for turning
complex observations into useful decisions.
